The Priest/ess of Cerridwen Two Spiral Correspondence training is open to all who wish to take part in the course but are unable to come to Glastonbury, England for all thirteen weekends of the two year course due to distance or other reasons.
I acknowledge that the deep immersion for the full 13 weekends of the course is best, as a close connection is forged with all spiral sisters and brothers during those days, but it is also evident that with increasing social media and internet teaching, this connection can also be made and maintained online.
The correspondence course is supported by Priestesses of Cerridwen under the guidance of Course Tutor Bee Helygen, who created and wrote all course materials offered unless otherwise stated.
An extensive booklist is offered, drawing on 25 years of study of esoteric and druidic material, and a variety of experiential trainings. The course is also rooted firmly in the Avalonian cycle created by Kathy Jones.
The Correspondence Course material is presented in form of seasonal books, which include written seminars, literary sources, myths and legends of Britain, introduction to other teachings like esoteric healing by Dion Fortune and the work of druidic research. Modern Celtic Shamanism is part of our learning cycle as Cerridwen is a Celtic Goddess. Online seminars, recordings, skype chats and videos are also included. There will be one telephone tutorial between each weekend, but students can contact the tutor by appointment as often as needed.
Additionally to the Priestess Certificate received at the end of the Two Spirals, the course also holds certification for Funeral Celebrancy and Avalon Soul Healing™ and participants can study towards both certifications during the course.
The Two Spirals are taken consecutively, which is recommended, but gap years of no more than two years are acceptable.
During the first spiral students study and practise to become Sisters/Brothers/Devotees of Cerridwen, completing all homework and showing competency of their progress. Only then will they be able to dedicate themselves to this Goddess of their Heart after the first year.
In each Spiral of the Two Spiral Correspondence Training students need to attend 3 of the course weekends. Students must attend the first or second weekend, the last four day weekend at Lake Bala, and one other weekend between those of their choosing.
The course also contains visits to sacred sites, which are scattered in the landscape of Southern Britain and access might lead over uneven ground. Students should be physically fit to walk some distance. If you would like further information about this, please contact the tutor.
This course of study takes motivation, focus, dedication, organisation, being able to work towards deadlines, working in smaller groups independently, and of course, individual work.
On successful completion of the first spiral of the course students have the option to sign the Code of Conduct and become members of the Orchard of Avalon, a community of all Priestesses and Priests trained in Avalon under the aegis of the Goddess Temple.
