What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Information you have provided us with
This might be your e-mail address, name, billing address, home address etc – mainly information that is necessary for delivering you a service (such as a training course) or to enhance your customer experience with us. We save the information you provide us with in order for you to perform other activities on the website. This information includes, for example, your name and e-mail address.
When you apply for our courses, some of the information you provide us with is sensitive, such as data about your health. See Course Application Forms below for information about how we treat this data.
Information automatically collected about you
This includes information that is automatically stored by cookies and other session tools. For example, your shopping cart information, your IP address, your shopping history (if there is any) etc. This information is used to improve your customer experience. When you use our services or look at the contents of our website, your activities may be logged.
Publicly available information
We might gather information about you that is publicly available.
When you contact us using any of our forms we collect the data shown in the contact form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. We may also check contact form data through an automated spam detection service.
Course Application forms
If you apply for one of our courses using the online forms we provide, we collect the data shown in your application, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
We also request you to complete and return a set of Terms & Conditions for the course you’re applying for. These include your confirmation that we may keep on file the details you have given us in your application for the training and any subsequent communications. Several of our trainings are completed over a number of years, so it is important that we retain your details for administration and to enable you to progress.
For reasons of security such details are kept in our website’s database only for long enough to allow us to progress your application and for no more than 60 days. Paper copies of online applications are produced and retained and these are kept in a locked filing cabinet. If you apply for a training by printing off and sending us an application form by post none of your personal details are collected by our website for this particular transaction, and as above, the copies are retained and kept in a locked filing cabinet, along with any further details you have provided.
If you have applied to us for a training and now wish us to delete your personal information, please use the Privacy Tools to request this.
